Our meat CSA provided by Tavalin Tails is a wonderful way to enjoy a mixture of grass fed meats from our farm! Each CSA share is a generous portion of  20-22 pounds of beef, lamb, pork and chicken, delivered frozen, with each individual piece vacuum sealed. This vacuum sealed packaging will allow the product to stay fresh for up to a year in your freezer.  Note that our Meat CSA is not certified organic but the animals are raised humanely, without hormones, naturally on green pastures.

Tavalin Tails is the livestock side of our family farm, Delvin Farms, a certified organic produce farm in College Grove,TN. The animals graze certified organic land and are all pasture born and raised.

There are two options available for the meat CSA: Full and Half.

A full share is delivered once a month for 6 months and a half share is delivered every other month for 6 months (total of 3 pickups), beginning April 5, 2016.

Half Share: $499 for 3 deliveries- April, June and August.
Full Share: $990 for 6 deliveries- April- September.
At the end of 6 months you may renew your subscription.

Each installment will include what has been harvested that month and can include all or some of the various meats: grass fed beef, pork, lamb and pastured whole chickens.

An example of what is included in one share is:
1 whole chicken
4 lbs ground beef,
1 lb ground lamb,
1 lb pork sausage (breakfast or artisan),
1 beef roast
1 pork or lamb roast,
1 package of pork chops,
1 package of beef steaks,
1 package of lamb chops or lamb steaks.

Other cuts included are stew meats, cubed steak, pork steaks and bacon. Just like a vegetable CSA, a meat CSA will vary month to month depending on what is harvested.
