Enjoying the summer bounty in Winter

I hope you are all doing well in these beautiful snowfalls we have had. We have started planting in the greenhouses, the plants that will be the spring and summer crops, but tonight, it is a spaghetti sauce kind of night.
.Canned and Frozen Tomatoes
You all listened to me all summer urge you to put those extra cherry tomatoes, onions and bell peppers in your freezer, so that on a day like today, all you have to do is pull them out of your freezer to make a hearty meal that fills the house with the aroma of summer. No going out in the frigid cold for these ingredients, I just pulled them out of the freezer.
Notice that the bell peppers were frozen in 2019. They are still as tasty as if I had gone to the field for them. The little cherry tomatoes were an experiment this year. I simply put them single layer on a cookie sheet, froze them and then put them in freezer bags. They are bursting with flavor. So in tonight’s sauce I have Delvin Farms cherry tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers from the freezer. Delvin Farms garlic and of course the canned Delvin Farms tomatoes. I’m not going to use the canned ones this time because I have the whole cherry tomatoes from the freezer. They will come in handy when I run out of the freezer tomatoes.
I was thinking of you all as I prepared this meal and hope that you all have a bounty of summer food in your freezers, children playing in the snow, and a house full of love. What more could we want?
